How Will ObamaCare Affect Young Adults?
{ This event has concluded, and is available to be viewed in its entirety here. Please enjoy, and share with your frineds. }
Starting in 2014, the federal government will require nearly all Americans to obtain health insurance. How will that requirement, and other elements of President Obama's new health care law, affect the incomes, employment opportunities, and health care of young adults?
Cato On Campus is partnering with the Galen Institute to host a discussion panel addressing these questions, and discussing how the recently passed ObamaCare will impact our generation as young people in America. Panelists include Michael Cannon (Director of Health Policy Studies at the Cato Institute), Grace-Marie Turner (President of the Galen Institute), and Kellyanne Conway (Founder of 'the polling company, inc.').
The panelists will deliver remarks from their particular angle of expertise, and then open the floor for questions. The event will be moderated by Sloane Frost, Co-founder of Students For Liberty and a current graduate student.
The panel discussion will be followed by a reception, at which point interns will able to mingle with each other and talk with the panelists and other policy scholars at the Cato Institute.
The event is open for all interns in the DC-area, and those online via an online video stream. Please plan to attend, and tell your friends.
Take advantage of your time in DC to broaden your knowledge on a policy that will dramatically impact the rest of your life!
(Typical attire for these events is business-casual.)
